Performing Artists

General Info

The Snoring Sasquatch is a concert venue, and our efforts are to bill the artist as in a concert event.

Please direct us to your website or send us a press kit if you are interested in booking a performance. Check our Events Calendar and see if the date you’re interested in is available.

Artists play for the door. SAMS, (Sasquatch Arts and Music Society) is a non-profit organization that manages the facility and is run entirely by volunteers. The split is usually 80% to the artist(s) and 20% to SAMS.

While the Fire Marshall says we can have 102 people in the room, we find the attendance varies greatly depending on how well loved and/or known the artist is in the area.

We have found the community supports about one show a week with an admission between $10-$15.00. Advance tickets are the negotiated price between SAMS and you/your Act. We then charge an extra $2.00 or $3.00 at the Door. The total sales are then split as above or as negotiated. SAMS’ members are offered a discount to encourage greater attendance. The financial discount is often declined. It does usually mean they bring a friend therefore adding to the audience count.

Your responsibilities

Final Drafts of Promotional tools received no later than 4 weeks prior to the performance!!

  • Press Release! Please send to Louise and it will then be forwarded to the Creston Valley Advance for insertion. If provided, a small jpeg promo photo may make it to print. Any changes, (errors, omissions) will be copied back to you. Please contact Louise if you have questions regarding format.
  • Posters! See Poster Info below for details on poster requirements. Again, please submit draft to Louise for vetting prior to printing and submitting. We have caught errors and omissions!

When these things are not done, attendance suffers - and that's the bottom line! Your show could be subject to cancellation.

Venue Information

There is a decent house sound system and lights. There are 2 monitors, (one monitor mix) and the room acoustics are outstanding.

  • You need your stage gear. This includes microphones, cables, stands and DI boxes. There is an 8-channel snake with XLR inputs. DI boxes are crucial for acoustic instruments which are not micd’. Instruments, which are amped, do not need to go through system, unless you have a penchant and passion for turning up as you're grooving and kickin' it! Then it's better for our audience and our neighbours if the sound person has control over all volumes.
  • Sound check arrangements will be made closer to the date of the show.
  • Volunteers at the door can also help with CD sales and other merchandise, if requested in advance.
  • Contact information will be made available for venue access, for booked performers, prior to arrival in Creston.
